Amsterdam has a relatively small city centre, which makes it an ideal City Break destination, as all the main sights are within easy reach. Amsterdam is famed for its great museums, amazing nightlife, canals and relaxed atmosphere.

Flights - There is a good choice of direct non-stop flights from the vast majority of UK airports to the main Amsterdam airport, Schiphol.

Hotels - Centrally located 2 and 3 star hotels are scarce, and do get especially full at weekends. Our tip is to book early, or go for a higher standard of hotel.

Transfers – a short train ride from Schiphol Airport station to the main Central Station then tram/taxi

Best Price – £150 per person, including flights, taxes and 2 nights in a city centre 2 star.

Peak Prices – From £185 per person, to as high as £280 per person over the weekends, and when you are booking close to the departure date.

Money Saving Tip – book early and go midweek.

Season – only January and February are truly low season. Spring and September are very busy.
